Album Rating: 5.0
I decided to start my wandering here, as this is an album that changed me heavily upon first listen. In fact, I remember the date of the first time I heard it: October 30, 2020, a date that has become special to my heart.
This is an album which needs no introduction. It smells of poetry, rock, drugs, and the stamp of Warhol's eye watching over this relatively unknown band from New York City at the time. This was revolutionary not in a Sgt. Pepper's sort of way, but in a way that its influence can be felt on almost every genre of rock today (alternative, punk, shoegaze, etc.). This was a band that really opened the doors for everything.
I hold a personal adoration for this album, though I am aware that the other albums they made can be considered greater than this, but ever since I listened to this that October afternoon, I have never looked at music the same way, so I really thank this album everyday for it.
Here ends my first post. I would have made it longer, but I couldn't, so I end it here, and continue to wander off...
