I think it clears this album besides Little Things and the title track and maybe Simulation Swarm. I listened to UFOF today at work, I thought it was definitely better than this overall
this has some good stuff for sure but the ratio of good tracks to tracks like Love Love Love is about 1:1

don't agree that VE is in any way better than the best tracks on this album, but i do agree that UFOF is a better album.

more interesting melodic shifts and a cool progression in its energy. The Only Place is one of the better songs here though. then followed by Blue Lightning which is just them trying to write a bad song and succeeding

Born For Loving You or whatever it's called isn't as good as VE but Adrienne always comes off as sincere enough to pull that kind of ultra on the nose folky songwriting at least decently well

Vampire Empire is an ok song but the hook is kind of gimmicky. Its build-up is really what redeems it in my opinion; the last minute of the song with the layered guitars is really great.
But personally I'd take Born for Loving You over VE any day. It's an efficient, direct and fleshed out song.
