“How the hell does this lean into uk pop mxc, idk what you meant by this botb?“
I think it’s the drum production. The snare and kick in particular just sound processed as shit and it takes me out of it. The songs are super well written though

Of all the songs that has grown on me? Drip. It wasn’t a stand out to me at first, now I am thinking it’s the best song the album.

Saw them yesterday and they slapped.
Drummer got so tight, unrecognizable almost since I saw them 3 years ago or so on the "Time will die.." tour. Maybe saw him on a shit day, but he nailed every small nuance.

this is my only criticism of this album at this point yeah. there's certain bands that that drum sound really benefits but rolo is not one of them

Nice little explanation of the song Drip on the first comment on this yt reaction:

The repetitive snare is basically a nod to dripping water keeping the bass player awaken at night, like the water torture device.

Hey y'all, to those that were bummed by their last tour being only on the east coast, they just announced a west coast tour! Daoboys supporting again, as well as a band called Pound.

The End Of Eternity I can listen to over and over again. Especially the first half.

One of my biggest hurdle with this album is how the snare sound. It was also a problem with the album before. It does sound so plastic-y on some songs and overbearing too.
Second half seems a lot fuller to me too
