Caught them live again last night. Colors II songs go hard live. Fix the Error will prob be played at every show until they call it quits

Dang I just imagined a Fix the Error going into a Revolution in Limbo combo and that sounds pretty awesome live. What other songs from this did they play?

Don't want to spoil the setlist even further in case others are going but here's a link: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/between-the-buried-and-me/2022/the-capitol-room-at-harrisburg-midtown-arts-center-harrisburg-pa-6b884a62.html

Yeah that's a good one. I loved the setlist they did back in '18 and I was already going to go back then just because they closed it with Silent Flight Parliament. Barely survived to the end.

If I'm being greedy, I would've liked to see Never Seen / Future Shock in the set, but hey ya can't win em all

Interested to see if they end up touring Colors II in its entirety or not. The crowd response was great for those songs

Also, they did a 10 year tour for Colors, just toured Great Misdirect in full, and with no Parallax songs being played this tour it makes me think they're gearing up for a parallax anniversary tour in the coming years

yeah when P2 first dropped. think it'd be cool to see them perform p1 and p2 together (think that adds up to like an hour and 40 minutes total, could be possible with an intermission)

have they even performed any of the P1 songs since like 2011?

also i'd love to know the financials behind touring an older fan favorite album in full vs. just doing a normal set. enough bands seem to be doing it the past 5 or so years to make me think its at least as profitable if not more. think it makes fairweather fans more likely to buy a ticket.

If this album was shorter it would be a super high rating from me tbh, I just wish it wasnt like 8 years long

ngl I do find this to be a smoother listen without future is behind us and turbulent, not that those are bad songs (especially the former) but bad habits -> sfmauto -> human is hell just works and has a lot of symmetry with prequel -> viridian -> white walls

also without those two songs it becomes almost the exact length as the first colors lol

Yeah this band is cheesy as hell but that's what makes it so fun. I don't want to hear all this "dark scary metal" all the time, sometimes you just gotta lighten it up, enjoy so complicated proggy shit that almost has that cartoony quality. Bands that take themselves too seriously are kind of lame in the grand scheme of things.

Cheese in metal is good, yeah

I also like serious stuff too, but a mix of both is good and healthy. Some of my most confident, strongest 5/5s are silly goofy times
