Gonna do some PTH binging today. I'm not expecting this one to move but anything's possible with this band. I absolutely hated scurrilous but that grew from a two to a 4.5 for me

The Rody lyrics/delivery on scurrilous took some getting used to and it still ranks pretty low for me in their discog but I've always thought it was a solid album that people gave too much shit, a few tracks in particular on there are still among their best.
Back half of Tongue Splitter makes my heart soar with the Eagle's nest

This, Scurrilous and Fortress are my 3 favorites, can't pick between them :-)
Kezia is right after
Have never been able to get into Volition or Pacific Myth, not sure why.

This particular footage from hate5six really highlights how rough Rody is sounding these days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faKuoKitJ5Y It's from their most recent October tour.
(I'm pretty sure I could karaoke some of these songs better than he performs them...)

God damn Rody sounds so shit there, I'm so upset I never got to see them before he fucked his voice up : (

Yeah this is board audio which is obviously much less forgiving but it's no excuse really. Tons of bands/singers sound amazing on board audio. And yes, Rody used to be great too, albeit pretty inconsistent - I've seen them a whole bunch of times since 2008. I'm being critical because I'd want him to do great again, I hope he can still improve...

I think he still can. Don’t know how much work he’ll need to put in to get there, but i think he can. I don’t know if he’ll be able to sound like he used to, but he could possibly do well in a style that makes good use of what his voice is now capable of. Kind of like the changes Claudio from Coheed had to make

Or think of Ray Alder. He adjusted as he needed to, and he is doing great

i thought this timeline had already played out and this album was supposed to be the success story?
