Finished listen number one... really good. Way better than this for sure. Not gonna rate for a while cause i wanna let the hype die down but i think the songwriting is much more daring and interesting than TIW, and theres a lot of cool vocal melodies. The opener and closer are both highlights for sure. The album feels very consistent, almost like it tells a story, the songs just work really nicely as a group. Mix isnt the best ive heard but its nowhere near as muddy as TIW

Not as good as their holy trio (Uroboros, DSS and Arche), but solid stuff.

Yea for sure. Still sticking around for the ride tho. Like, this and phalaris arent masterpieces or anything but i had a fun time with both of em, enough to listen to em both a ton of times. They may not be making solid gold like before but i dont think they necessarily fell off or anything, id say they are still making quality stuff

The Sogai show is pretty much an instant classic plus the Wearing Human Skin show slapped, so they're still worth following. If you only listen to their albums and still want Uroboros/DSS stuff then you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
