I can't remember a single thing about that song
It goes on forever without once managing to do something interesting, even accidentally

"I can't remember a single thing about that song

so true. it makes for a good bathroom break though

Y’all need Jesus holy shit
Five Cups is the 3rd best track here and is thematically the most important song here

Why is it thematically important I don't get it

Five Cups is a middle track on here (literally as well). sometimes it's really good. sometimes it really just takes me
|
| |
@Sowing I feel like it separates the 2 halves of the album very cleanly and was definitely intended to do so

I never realized the halves were in any way distinct lol

does anyone know how they managed five cups on vinyl? Would be interesting to know if they split it for side changing

yeah that second half of five cups is god-tier. honestly my rating for this album would prob be like 4.3 without five cups. it's the most creative thing here - a 9 min post-rock epic that isn't boring and generic as hell is quite the feat nowadays. also those layered vocals are money

does anyone know how they managed five cups on vinyl?
I have 2xLP and it just ends Side A, both halves of this are roughly the same so I guess it was a logical choice. don't know if the 4xLP is diff
also Five Cups is a banger had no idea that was in question

It's basically because I said five cups is a lower tier track here
I skip it most of the time unless I have abundant time to listen to drawn out mediocrity

Album Rating: 4.5
gorgeous melodies, beautiful ambient with a ton of cool effects and things going on in the background, cool disembodied-sounding vocals = mediocrity? sowing, dude... =[

also has some of my favourite lyrics on here tbh, the lyrics are bone-chilling if you properly look into em. that "find a reason not to leave" callback oofff

five cups is like that long track on shaking the habitual but not nearly as effective

"i feel off and pray to be between florence and coleen. somewhere i can see them when it's raining all the time" is maybe my favourite moment on the album. and yeah agreed the lyrics are really strong.
