"Where is there anything remotely shoegaze here"
Lit Me Up, Waste, In the Water, No Control
either way, my point was that a lot of recent bands mimicking Brand New basically just do that, but with more shoegaze. This undeniably has undertones of it but makes that sound its own thing with more diversity and authenticity
love the sass tho, Snake

"5 it without listening."
idk, seems a little excessive and dishonest. i usually just throw a 4.5 on until i listen, and then if i sorta like it ill bump it to a 5.

A couple of the tracks on here are stellar, but I can't fully endorse the album as a whole. It's very good, but lacks the electricity of TDAG - certain songs and sections just kind of drag on, and large chunks of the record are plagued by a sense of homogeny.
