like some of those bands are damn solid, easy 3.5s and 4s, but to claim they're much better than ulcerate, obliteration etc is just stupid, beyond a difference of opinion (especially when they tend to be similar stylistically). oh no, more than a few hundred people liked this album, i guess i'm no longer able to enjoy it now

Those kind of people don't experience the outside world enough probably. Their view of the world is seen through a sputnik or RYM lense, or what have you. Where in the real world I've yet to meet a single person who likes this kind of music out of happenstance. Even when I find a metalhead it's like totally different stuff they listen to.
