ugh it's not on spotify, no surprise there. spotify is missing so much stuff like the Alda album Passage which is an absolute masterpiece of an album.

honestly prophecy's deluxe versions of albums makes me want to start pirating music again

Will definitely check that out.

Honestly even though I occasionally use spotify I'll never see it as a replacement of downloading or purchasing music, but I am both an audiophile and a completist.

passage is very much in the agalloch mold of post black metal so if you're not into that style it probably won't change your mind but if you are into that style you should love it

I'm actually just getting into post-black metal stuff. Lantlos was pretty much my introduction but I've listened to a couple of Agalloch songs which I found slightly heavier but also very gloomy. I liked it. I also just finished binging the Alcest discography and looking forward to listen to it again.

if you're getting into post black stuff, check out Amesoeurs, Germ, An Autumn for Crippled Children, Falls of Rauros, Panopticon, Harakiri for the Sky, and Dead to a Dying World.

aafcc haven't released anything noteworthy since 2012, but the rest are excellent!

The Long Goodbye is the best aafcc album and it was in 2015. Eternal was really good too. The Light of September has some great stuff. last two didn't do much for me though, not bad but not awesome.

lol yeah Alcest sure made an impression. And I even liked both Shelter and the last one which I see weren't received that well.

Thanks, man!

The newest album made me realize how much this rule. With "Melting Sun VII" this is an easy 5.

Bonus track is one of the best for sure. Should've been included on the main album, makes for a wonderful closer.
