Can't wait to hear it! Long as it's no more metallic than Kodama I should still dig.

Is Le Secret worth a spin too?

Ecailles as a whole is possibly my favorite song of all time.

As far as I know, there's only 2 Alcest songs with female vocals - this one's bonus track and Sur l'Autre Rive from Souvenirs. There are however very high background vocals from Neige on all albums, so I could imagine why someone would think Kodama has female vocals

Rik check the credits for Kodama, there is a female vocalist on that track. Kind of obvious too, they're like operatic choir style vocals, clearly not Neige.

I stopped finding it obvious that operatic female choir vocals are not done by male singers after what some metal singers pulled off on some songs I know.. but you're probably right. It's a common mistake though to think that Alcest has female background vocals when it's actually Neige, e.g. Écailles t/t

He can definitely sound feminine sometimes but the ones in the Kodama t/t are very obviously not him. And I'm definitely right, again, look up the credits, someone named Kathrine Shepard sings on that track.

If you've ever seen them live their touring guitarist does all of the high pitched female vocals.
