Yeah the jump to samurai sword is great. I love how throughout the album there are wonderfully fragile melodic sections that either collapse or get obliterated by a wall of sound

Glad you liked it man. No idea why this hit me so hard even after the first listen. It induced feelings of anxiety and solitude in me whilst having so many beautiful uplifting sections as well

I had a rethink as to what a record has to do to be a 5, and the fact that I'd only given this 3 listens before 5ing it didn't feel right. And on my most recent listen I don't think I was in the mood for it and it draged on a bit. Ah well, could grow back I suppose

Yeah I mean I was never hugely into lo-fi but I remember this striking a chord. Haven't listened in probably about 4 years though so that 4 is more reflective of the 2012 me. For all I know a fresh listen might just confirm the 4, but then again I might like it more.
