yeah i went through my pop punk phase when i was about 10 to 11 years old, then i went through a phase where i liked a few modern bands (Nin, Offspring, Aic, Tool, etc.) but i jammed a ton of dad-rock. then i read about punk and noise rock quite a bit, then i found sput and realized how much good music was really here. now i try to be open-minded to anything

yeah mang theres so many instances in my life were i were to of never found out about my favorite bands if i was closed-minded.

yeah when i came across the genre of noise rock for the first time, i thought it was the dumbest idea ever. but i tried one Big Black song and tried not to like it at first because it was tagged that way, but holy fuck did i really like it lol

i found if you start listening to a band with a preconceived notion of what theyre like or already expecting to dislike them, then you wont admit to yourself or give them a fair chance even tho you could really like them
