Meh

almost all of the music I have on vinyl is 'listening music' anyway

except for One Step Beyond

Sometimes he listens to what the music has to say, other times he talks to it

You could just rip the vinyl to mp3 (or whatever format tickles your fancy)

it seems pretty complicated to do that for vinyl though. when I was in france I was doing work

experience in a firm that offered that kinda service, seemed to be pretty involved. definitely not as

simple as clicking "import" for CDs

It's not hard, just time consuming to actually rip all your wax with a usb turntable. Which is why I just end up downloading a lot of the 12" stuff that I own, it's just far more efficient

mmmm, it's something I'll probably consider in future but right now it's just too impractical. I'm not even buying CDs at the moment

'listening music'?

yea I mean like ambient, post-rock, drone, ... that kind of stuff

I meant that I would never dance to that kind of stuff

You don't listen to the music you dance to?

yeah you phrased it a bit weird but I know what you mean. I'm more likely to get CDs for albums with more of an "artistic" or genuine feel to them. i.e. I wouldn't be particularly motivated to get a CD for, say, a mainstream rock album, even if I liked it.

but something about this fits the bill. Artwork definitely helps

that album cover perfectly fits the music.

I kinda wanna write a review of this to scribe my feelings towards it, but it would really just be repeating what others have said before

this is maybe the most compulsively listenable album i've heard since the fall of troy first blew my 14 year old mind. i still spin it a few times a week at least and certain tracks almost daily. never expected this to be one of those albums that i know every word effortlessly.

never even expected to like it at all. It's Burial, Brand New, GYBE and Bon Iver all over again. happens quite a bit now that I think about it.

I actually looked up a song of his (can't remember which it was) a while ago and I didn't like it. I only decided to give this a full listen cos a cute girl I met said she was into The Weeknd and I got curious again.
