there aren't even 75 albums that were released in 1994

funny you say that 1994 is actually a year I am extremely familiar with music wise given it is my birth year. I don't rate albums anymore and never cared much for it in the first place. most of what I have rated is stuff this site introduced me to and is lacking in works I knew prior to joining the site

Punch and Judy is the only slight step down in quality on Either/Or for me. Love Pictures of Me and No Name #5.

Punch and Judy has grown on me a bit, sure it's a bit cutesy and obvs him at his most Beatles-y but as with a lot of his stuff it's just the particular atmosphere it casts

I don’t dislike the song. It just stands out as a lesser when compared to the rest of the album

Well it's still my second least fave on the album so I'm not calling it a world beater

There's a few on New Moon that are stronger but it's still a more worthy album track than 'Drive All Over Town', 'Kiwi Maddog', 'The White Lady Loves You More', the last two on XO that I never liked and a fair few on 'Figure 8' and 'Basement'.

It's alright.

something about the fact that the verse of “st ides heaven” refers to being drunk and that the chorus in turn starts with “high on amphetamines” really....damn

Hm, ok, a week with this and it's still not really doing a whole ton.

Also maybe this is just me but this and Roman Candle don't really read as sad to me even though everyone seems to think Smith is one of the saddest artists out there.
