I pretty much agree with the review. Good moments here and there but as a whole 'Marrow of the Spirit' is a disappointment. When listening to any other Agalloch album, I'm overwhelmed by the feeling presence, but on MotS the feeling is missing.

I agree with that to an extent. The atmosphere of the previous albums is gone and the lack of a folk-type vibe hurts the album. It's still damn good though for what it is, which is saying something.
