Yeah I hate Butler's lyrics too, worst part of the band. Sometimes they're kinda funny cos they're so bad and stupid but most of the time they're just bad. "Now he's floating face down in the dead man's sea / He's floating face down, cos he's a dead man, see" is one of the worst lines I've ever heard.

IIRC, The Pros of Con and Day 54 were the only ones I kept coming back to off this. Oh, and Casino Columbus, because chorus so friggin' catchy.
And yeah, as for Butler's lyrics, and the guy in general, I've always seen him as an entertainer moreso than an "artist". I don't know if that makes sense, but yeah.
