Yeah... They stopped making cool album covers. Should have had 4 albums each with a different horseman of the apocalypse. Nightmare an City of Evil have 2.

@Ferinus: Ever since City of Evil, the pattern seems to be: Horsemen album, flop, Horsemen album, flop. So if my predictions are correct, the next album should indeed be another Horsemen album, and thus another one of their more solid records.

Save Me is like the best A7X song. [2]
i couldn't agree more. the only part i don't really like is the fast tremolo picked lead before the solo. its pretty cliche and kinda sounds like video game music guitar

It's certainly one of the band's better albums in my opinion, but I still think 66 minutes is way too long for what it is. The title track itself, while very well written, could do with being cut down by a minute or so, and the same goes for both 'Welcome to the family' and closer 'Save me'. That said, the majority of "Nightmare" is pretty good. Although Shadows sometimes sounds a little weak when trying to eschew his pure, clean vocals in favour of a harsher, raspier style, he can really hit notes sometimes, as on what I think is the highlight of the album 'Victim'. The musicianship is decent too, although sometimes proves a little tedious (the middle of the album suffers the most in this case), and is certainly the focal point of songs such as 'Danger line' and the dark, aggressive 'God hates us'. I can't see why people hate this band so much nowadays, they aren't even that terrible as people say.

I like this album because it actually had a meaningful concept to it whereas hail to the king just felt completely uninspired and generic
