I think I may do that, or, at the very least, listen to 5 records from this year that would be worthy of a top 5. This is one of them, and if chambered is on to something with his latest review, that'll be two albums.

I'm pretty much doing that as we speak. Click on 'Charts' on the front page to see what most Sputnik readers think are the top albums & listen to 5-10 of the ones you think you may like. Still 2 months to go until 2011.

Will do just that. Checking my ratings, it seems I have a few others from this year that I'd consider. If anything, I can start compiling now, and sometime next year I can finish it off, hopefully picking up some of those sleepers that pop up after the fact.

What I thought was one of my top 5 of this year (Local Natives' LP) was technically released last year, so it basically misses both of my lists. By the way, if you like this album, you'll like that as well.

Official release dates can be tricky sometimes. I'll be sure to give that record a listen. New music is good music.

Because "they" hate us. "They" know who they are. I'm (shamelessly) awaiting the new Pokemon games... but they won't be released in the U.S. till sometime next year.

I liked the Local Natives album too. And yeh at the end of the year there will be alot of 'best of the year' lists on the internet and some totally unhyped albums that just got pushed aside and yet are good will possibly be revealed.
