Why is it that I skipped the Brand New album that everyone raves about? I got into them with 'Deja Entendu', re-discovered them with 'Daisy', and went back and checked out 'Your Favorite Weapon' because I wanted to hear it. I have 'The Devil and God...', but I just don't listen to it as much as their other ones (especially this one).
Is there something wrong with me?

Idk, TDAG has some songs (You Won't Know and Sowing Season come to mind) that are just miles ahead of anything else they've done, but the rest of the album doesn't nearly live up to those.
I find myself listening to this, Deja and even YFW more than TDAG.

Jesus Christ, Degausser, Limousine, The Archers Bows Have Broken, Handcuffs are all immense.
It's a matter of taste of course but that album is pure classic

I've definitely listened to this more than TDAGARIM. Whether or not it's better than TDAG is another story entirely, though.

I love Not the Sun. I realize I'm basically alone in that.
I listen to Deja the most because of nostalgia and how easy it is to listen to. Also there are more catchy guitar bits. IMO both DE and TGARIM are both 5s.

In some ways this is better than TDAG. The best tracks here aren't as good as the best songs on TDAG, but this is a much more consistent album. The worst tracks on TDAG (archers, not the sun, handcuffs) are much weaker than the worst tracks on Daisy, and really ruin the cohesion of that album.
