Riot had some great singles but there's a lot of filler, and the whole thing sounds so dated now -- even moreso than AWKIF, which came before it. Still a 3.5 but I feel like it only gets the praise it does because it was their mainstream breakthrough and everyone is nostalgic about those few big hits.

I really like this now. I'm definitely preferring it to Riot which has a couple of bangers but too much dated filler imo (no nostalgia bias for me!)
Maybe I will listen to their other stuff (finally). There seems to be some healthy debate as to how the rest of the discog stacks up and I'm certainly enjoying this enough now for my curiosity to be piqued

Absolutely their best album! I reflect back to this era and how lucky we were to have this kinda music playing on mainstream radio. The sun shined a hell of a lot better back then too, take me back.
