albums awesome but hype train is extremely unwarranted considering the plethora of post-hardcore readily available to you all.

It was quite a clever, insipid, and overall effective insult, Sea. Beautifully executed.

But in all seriousness, La Dispute says a lot in those words. Have you ever even read it all the way through? How about Here, Hear? Sure, I know that you are tired of hearing about it, but most repeat the same theme over and over again. It's as if they were trying to refine what seems so strange

And off and important to them.

I just listened to this on a whim this afternoon exactly.
and don't get me wrong, I love it (I have it rated "excellent," don't I?), albeit for somewhat different reasons than you do.

MY point was simply that this gets loads of unwarranted praise because they've become a Sputnik band... a post-hardcore band that's cool to like. Excuse me for sounding like a dick-- I don't have a problem with La Dispute, just it's "classic" revered reputation on Sputnik, which I don't understand.

basically, I'm just sad that

Armchairpolitician
Jawbox
A City Safe From Sea
Hot Cross
Touche Amore
Cursive
even Fugazi and Unwound for Christ's sake...

don't get hyped as much.
so I guess it's just me being grumpy : p

4.3 avg rating on sputnik, ~500 ratings... for a post-hardcore album nonetheless? I'd say that condones a Sputnik album. Plus, I see this get rec'd like there's no tomorrow.
