I take LB's results may vary over this any day, that's for sure. At least in RMV you have down another day, creamer and almost over. Here you have....nothing.

"You flush it out, you flush it out" :D This guy is pretty talented professional vocalist folks. Some hilariously horrendous vocal performance, drum sounds and overall production here. Kinda liked this crap as a child and it makes this funny to listen now. How was this ever released? :D I guess they didn't bother to listen it through.

Ashamedly, I have a soft spot for this album. St. Anger was purely responsible for getting me to tolerate long, pummelling 8-minute songs and thus making me get into tool, dream theater, and basically enjoy songs that weren't below 3 minutes in length lol.

Also St. Anger has a so-bad-its-good vibe, from the clanging snare (metal fans need to stop talking about the snare jesus christ), the muddy production and I can always laugh at how James Hetfield says fucking anything in this album (personal favourite being either "Invisible Kid", "All Within My Hands" and "KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL") which makes this album just fun to listen to. Yes, it sucks, but I love the fact it does

I get that we shouldn’t talk about the snare because it’s been done but I seriously thought there was something wrong with my tv first time I saw St Anger video

I was a kid who loved classic Metallica and didn’t like the Load albums and all the promotion for this album was how it was going back to being heavy and was the heaviest thing they ever did so I was hyped.

That cheeky little palm muted riff came on at the start of St Anger and I was like ‘ok… this could get cool’ and then Lars just starts slapping the shit out of the snare and I genuinely thought my TV was broken until the next video came on and it sounded normal again

Honestly my personal favorite Metallica album to listen to just because of the raw passion behind it. Objectively terrible though
