This & Red Medicine are the only Fugazi albums I care about returning to now. Their most memorable.

They're all memorable except steady diet

Yeah, Steady Diet is the only weak album. Every other LP is basically better than the last. End Hits is super underrated for that reason

Weird argument, but okay.

this is solid but its one of the few albums where i really don't understand why people obsess about it
|

This is dangerously close to being a 5 for me, for some reason I always recall the second half as being more samey and bland than it actually is.
|
| |
can someone explain why this is so good
|
| |
explain why it's not lol
|
| |
its not like i have any huge issues with it, its a pretty decent arty rock album but i really cant see what sets it over the edge

It's the vibe and the songwriting for me, so many of the songs here have this seething tension to them that makes them so much more interesting and memorable than your average post-punk tunes. The lyrics are great, their approach to vocal melody is really cool and unique, and the guitar tones are spot-on across the board. I mean, what's not to love?

idk i guess ill stop trying with this one and just jam red medicine and in on the kill taker instead
