Oh no... New album. Porcupine and Tool back in the music business. Get your wallets ready for the rape.

I feel like if Cheating the Polygraph was on here instead of My Ashes I'd rate it higher.

Sleep Together is a bit of a meh closer as well, really dig every other song though.

My Ashes is probs the most cuttable yeh
Sleep Together is a weird closer, but it sounded incredible when I caught him live playing HCE so idk

Y’all trippin’

Sleep Together was great live when I saw it, an improvement over the studio version.

My Ashes is incredibly bland, come on.

I've always thought this one was pretty overrated anyway, still great but I prefer Nil Recurring.

T/t has some hilarious lyrics but still, great tune.

Am I the only one who likes the lyrics on the t/t?

I get what Wilson was going for but it just feels a little to 'on the nose', if you get me?

Knowing how much of a pompous idiot he can be it rubs me the wrong way as well.

Song takes itself a little too seriously lyrically but I love the actual track itself.

I don't know if I would receive the lyrics differently were they delivered in Greek, but I don't think they're as cringy as people make them out to be

first half of that verse is even worse fwiw but they deserve all the cringeshaming that can be thrown at them
there's also something about the way he tries to turn such a generalised character sketch into an insight about bpd three quarters of the way through. no idea how much exp or knowledge SW had at the time, but it comes off extreeeeemely here's some shallow m-m-Modernity observations I got third hand from my friends talking about Skins and strung together with some shite rhymes, uh, let's throw in a specific mental illness reference so the nerdboi gang buys it

The t/t lyrics are hilarious [2]

My Ashes is a beautiful, haunting song with some of the best lyrics on the album. Wilson sings really well too and I love the violins.

This was the first PT album where I felt saturated by the band altogether.

No wonder why they stopped after The Incident.
