"I will blow whoever bumped this" I'm ready.
First half is god-tier, second, after "Rise", not so much. Still good though.

I love it all but I'd def agree that the opening bunch of songs are where it's at

Was lucky enough to see them in 1996 and again in 2001 but Phil was messed up at the ‘01 show

Agreed with Dewi. That entire streak from Mouth for War to Rise is incredible, and then the rest of the second half isn’t quite as consistently good. But there are still some gems there, like By Demons Be Driven and Hollow

Sure Lucca. 1996 I was in final year of high school and me and my mates were massive Pantera fans and metalheads in general. Biohazard supported and they were good with Punishment etc. Pantera were touring Great Southern Trendkill and we were in the front pit. Truth be told I didn’t know how violent it was gonna be. Lights out and Suicide Note Part 1 played over the PA. As soon as that finished they came on and played Part 2 and all hell broke loose. I had a good spot but was soon bundled down the back. Ha. Phil was so wound up he smashed the microphone repeatedly into his forehead till it bled. So metal. Ha. There’s photos at the time of him with this forehead split open and that was first done at that show I reckon. Needless to say when I hear parts 1 & 2 I think of that show, and GST remains my fav Pantera record. Actually caught up with 3 of my mates who went to that show just last weekend.
2001 they were still big but not as good. The main thing I remember is us all coming back together after the gig and saying what the fuck was with Phil tonight. Rambling between songs and obviously on something and then sat down during Primal Concrete Sledge. A bit weird but still good to see Dime again

^ Yep, Muzz is spot on. I saw them on that tour as well, was in the pit area, and as he said, as soon as Pt. 2 started, you just got swallowed the fuck up. I literally felt fear in that pit because it was just complete mayhem and everyone's safety was compromised. Bodies were literally hitting the floor no matter where you looked. Luckily, everyone recovered.
Band was fucking huge man.

Haha nice titan and dominion. Pantera were the ducks nuts in the 90’s, and pretty extreme for a mainstream band let’s face it. Starting with A New Level would’ve been something - almost my fav song of theirs
