After listening to Aenima and lateralus more and retrying this... yeah. Nowhere near their level for me. Some good parts, but the band chemistry of those prior albums just isnt here imo.

I'll never forgive Joe Baressi for the production on this. When I first heard Descending and Invincible at a live concert they felt like the band's best songs, in fact, they made Lateralus and Aenima tracks sound a bit half-baked in comparison. On Fear Inoculum they sound sterile as shit.
