The sound waves of exit music are such that they vibrate the air around them, causing the water vapor to warm and rise upward, leaving the cooler, dry air to remain around the listener.

Having now listened to The Bends and and Kid A, I feel like I understand this album a lot better. This feels like the band's transitional album from alternative rock to experimental. But this further baffles me as to why this so well liked, since both of those albums do what they set out to do so well (exceptionally well in Kid A's case), and this just sounds like, well, a transition, to put it nicely.
