the drum performance on this monster is fucking incredible
everything is, but we never talk about drums here so
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
the drums are one of my favourite things about this album. one of the best performances i've ever heard
|
| |
Koller posted a facebook about 5 days ago or so saying that he played jane doe front to back while playing the drums and he had never done it before
Now he said he could try to get his band (All Pigs Must Die) to play the album on its entirety live
|

yea, I saw that, but I thought he said he could try to get Converge to play the album, not APMD. idk
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
pretty sure he meant converge, they are his main band. and why the hell would all pigs cover jane doe?
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
yea, that wouldn't make sense lol
u so silly gwyn
|
| |
He said "his band" and since apmd is a side project of his with him not being so much as a founding member of Converge I imagined it was that
but, he later posted a comment on that post saying if he couldn't convince them he would "just get holograms of Nate, Kurt and Jake and play around with the cd", so

I posted that a few days ago, I kind of want them to play it
but on the other hand, I feel like jacob needs a reason to do it again
I don't really think he wants to go through it all over again
|
| |
At least half of the album is near-mainstay on their playlists so I don't think it'd be a problem lol
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
umm it's not actually, they only play Concubine and The Broken Vow and maybe some other song from the album here and there, like Heaven in her arms
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
they played concubine, title track and homewrecker when i saw them, it ruled
and playing the whole thing front to back is completely different. it would take so much energy and focus, especially the second half where things get all cohesive and basically never let up... plus the emotional weight of the album for Bannon is probably very heavy.
|
| |
hence why I said "near"
They almost always play those two songs you mentioned, and from what I've seen and told they play the first half of the album pretty frequently, except for Distance (Which apparently they didn't play like at until a few years ago)
They've never played either of the "phoenix" songs tho, and they almost never play Thaw or the title track, also why said "half"
