i really dig the sound on vol 4, yeah its different from that doomy master of reality sound and it sounds dry and west coast crunchy and i like it, has california soul in it, laguna sunrise, man, "After being up all night and watching the sunrise at Laguna Beach, Iommi composed the song." fuckin lyrics are the best on this album too, album also has best ozzy vocal performance i mean he rips good, and the album artwork is so fucking iconic, imo the best album cover design ever, fucking supernaut, snowblind, under the sun, cornucopia, the straightener, wheels of confusion, album is THE BEST

Dude Sabotage has Ozzy's best vocal performance.
Idk Vol 4's production and sound isn't even bad, it's just the lackluster songwriting. Like St. Vitus Dance, Laguna Sunrise and Changes are kind of meh.
Supernaught is top 5 Sabbath tho

The 3 albums that came after the first 3 are every bit as good, if not better in some cases. In fact I think I prefer that era of Sabbath (Vol. 4 - Sabotage) as whole to their first 3.
