It's cool how quiet it is between the breakdown chugs. How do they do that?

Still on the fence about this right now - it took me a while for Nothing Left For Love to click so hoping this does too, but right now thinking it's a bit of a step down for me.

Lol. They’re good at not playing their instruments at the right time though. Gives it a nice crunch ya dig?

i've lurked on this site for like 7 years but the release of a new counterparts album seemed to be the most opportune time to actually make an account lol

this thing bangs, like potentially the hardest out of their discography, but it makes me nervous for their future - there's a sense of finality that kind of permeates the whole thing

The band is in great shape, and I don't think it's going to stop. I don't think so.

One of my closest friends father just passed after a 4 year battle with lung cancer. Maybe 45 years old.

Jammin Whispers in his memory. Cancer is grossly unfair.

My friends

Regardless idk how well he's ever gonna take it. He was close to his father, in spite of their rocky history.

gave this a spin as my first counterparts album. maybe it will grow on me, but I didn't really see what makes it standout.

don't get me wrong everything sounds good & is well executed I just felt like I've heard a lot of this before in other hardcore albums

Anyone have a take on the lyrics to unwavering vow?

Not generally one to care a ton, but maybe a little problematic? Am i reading into this the wrong way?

Angry and/or hateful lyrics are nothing new to the scene or to this band.

"Former prey decides your fate"

Revenge songs are typically not nice.

out of all the short(ish) moshers they've recorded it's def a little more tame than say, choke or your own knife imo

“Anyone have a take on the lyrics to unwavering vow?”

it was very refreshing to scream MURDER YOU MYSELF live tbh

In fact, it's mentally healthier to let off some steam I will say

Brendan is a bit childish (in a lovely way) and he will often say very cursed things, but I now realise that he was not at all malicious.
