Yeah there was a lot of skepticism in the off-season. OC duties seemed to be between him and Joe Judge, which really was always going to be a lose-lose scenario no matter who got picked lol.
Bill seems worn, not sure how many years he has left coaching.

Rumor has it he is using this year as a holdout until either Bill O Brien comes back as OC or the Raiders find a way to fire McDaniels. He doesn’t want to commit to a long term OC before having the potential to grab one of them. It makes sense but it is detrimental to Mac Jones’ development.
Good on the kid for getting pissed too, he certainly deserves better.

Hope the BoB rumor isn't true, Alabama fans have hated him and I can't imagine him being much of an improvement.

I think he’s just not a good college level coach overall or an NFL level head coach but he’s a pretty good NFL OC. Clearly an improvement over Fat Patricia.
BOB is still the best coach in Texans history soooo.

I don't know man, if you can't make it work in college, you probably aren't going to make it work in the pros. And he really didn't; he had a decent streak where he had a young Watson and prime DHop, but those teams almost always led to disappointment. He was also awful at decision-making and had pretty awful relationships with his players.

Michigan and Georgia were always locked regardless. USC/TCU were the question marks, although even then I think a one loss TCU should get a nod. The most in danger of losing a spot was USC, and by golly did they mess that up.
I sincerely, sincerely do not want to see OSU again, but that is likely the scenario in play now. Unless TCU loses and the committee pulls the rug out from everyone and tosses in Bama for no reason.
