Yes! Big fan. Never liked them as much as Godspeed, but I still love them.
The album with the bird is amazing.

I never really compared them to Godspeed, because they sound like too different IMO. But that album with the bird on it is called "Born into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward,"yea, it's pretty amazing bro. If you liked that album you should try "Horses in the Sky" and "He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms…," they are both different, but awesome albums.

Oh yeah. I forgot what it's called. I also have He Has Left Us Alone... and love it. I agree that they're different but since they share so many members, I think some of the atmosphere is similar in certain sections.

"What's so much better in the vinyl version?"
it's not so much better but it really solidifies the concept. I think it's shorter but there is an extra section (and a couple are moved around). the thing about the vinyl that makes it so amazing (imo) is that side A starts on an f#, side B starts on an a#, and at the end, the record loops ad infinitum (hence f#a#oo). I always find myself forgetting that the record is over and just listening to the loop in a trance. freaky shit. Both are 5s though. They're different but I'm not sure I'd say one is better than the other. I just love how the vinyl version makes use of the concept brilliantly.

"what exactly repeats? the entire record or just that particular side?"
the last 3 or 4 seconds (1 revolution) of the record. it's like a low, ominous, droning note.
