Even Destroyers is cited as being noticeably more post-metal influenced than the previous two, and that was well before their new melodic direction but w/e

Destroyers is probably their most accessible record tbh

Usually, people who prefer their Ulcerate most straightforward cite it as their favourite album from them

For sure

I like the way it kinda reminds me of neurosis, but harder

"Average for this is absolutely ridiculous, considering they just keep releasing the same album."

Band should totally add in some clean choruses and a few slams

Could you imagine Paul singing a chorus in a boyish voice about perseverance and inner strengh?

I was thinking along the lines of a serenade-ish type of chorus, but that might work too

I worry that beyond the recognition from the die-hard fans, this band probably doesn't really have a sound that would be appreciated by people who haven't acquired a taste for it.

There is No Horizon is absolutely a top 5 song I´ve heard from any extreme metal act. Jesus.

MM, there are loads of dm fans out there. I just don't think many have bothered checking these guys out.

@Pikazilla Perhaps you are right, although I've already seen a person in this thread claim they 'prefer their dm to be more "fun"'. Ulcerate is not nearly as accessible as most dm, to the extent that it can be considered accessible.

Well, if they only listen to Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth, then yeah, I can see how this is much tougher to digest for those people lol

I heard Ulcerate mentioned in a geography now video about New Zealand

That's recognition (well, some)
