Agreed - nearly played it on my radio show yesterday but ultimately went with "The Greatest" instead

i like that and how pieces like American Record aren't super interested in basic structuring. That song eventually leads into verse/chorus structuring after spending the first minute doing something totally different, and quite a few songs are like that. It makes everything a little bit more diverse, which definitely makes them less repetitive despite mostly still being power-chorus-oriented.

This is every bit as homogeneous as the albums preceding it. BTD is the best by a green mile. Gimmie the variety and beautiful melodies and hooks on that any day over this one-toned neo noir shit

This is no more or less homogeneous than anything else she's ever put out

The difference is that almost every single song here is amazing with only a few duds, whereas other albums were the inverse

Everything on this is really good but they could've been merciless and jettisoned the last 5 tracks (maybe keep the closer or The Greatest to finish it)

Would be an easy 4.5 if they did
