Def worth the wait though, if it’s near the same quality

This trend of long album rollouts needs to die asap. Shits so outdated.

I’d imagine they’re waiting so long because they didn’t release any new material for like 2-3 years. They have very little hype at the moment. I think they should’ve been way more active with releases and promotions during the lockdowns, especially since theyre a smaller band

I think April is a good time to release, but they should've held onto this single until late January at the earliest. I am excited, but I am just not listening to the single again until release. I don't want to overplay it.

I wonder if the previous single (from 2019) will be on the album. I liked it a lot

All Candy feels a little underwhelming but I guess we will find out in... five months?

My hype for an album dies after waiting about 3 months. After that its like oh yeah totally forgot that was dropping. Not good marketing.

It definitely hurts the hype for me, but I will still listen the shit out of it.

What I think it really hurts is new listeners. Imagine finding All Candy, digging it, and realizing you gotta wait half a year for more. At least Empty Black is a 10, but still. Like you said, Jay... not good marketing.

dude confirmed in an instagram Q&A yesterday that the heavy/mellow and sing/scream ratio of this one is basically the same as empty black. which also makes me question the marketing strategy. All Candy is sick but it just didn't feel like enough to get the hype going for the new record, plus making us wait too long for the next tune... come on now. I'm sure it's a swing for a bigger audience but the people preordering the LPs and merch are probably all empty black fans anyway lol
