OK I'll come back to this just because I know that I SHOULD like this, but on first 2 listens I got a little bored :- /
Sorry guys, will try again later when she decides to add some fucking riffs to her next album m/

It's quite the opposite of its album title.
Anyway, Lorde rules.

I like how ShitterInTheShadows was touting Lorde as the future best thing in Pop, one album later and very little people could give a fuck less about her. I remember when Royals came out everyone was talking about it and her, now I don't hear a peep.
Funny

This is so much better than her first album it's not even funny. One of the best art-pop records of the decade.

Ari is more popular but I think Lorde's artistic rep is higher

for sure, Ari is a pop star (and she's really good at it). Lorde is a pop artist (and she's really good at it)

Love this album. Production is so much more full than her debut and her voice has grown to match it. And yeah agree you can definitely feel these are her songs if you know what I mean.
My favourite pop artists a long with Lady Gaga

She’s really not that culturally notable rn, Caliggy jack is right. Which is okay, but I want her to fully embrace her artistic side in the future, and cast off her affinity for pop found in songs like green light and supercut. Doesn’t seem like her forte.

Coming back to this - it's still fantastic. May consider a bump in the future but it's my favorite pop album in a while I must say.
Is Pure Heroine close to this in terms of quality?
