Relistened to this b/c it reminded me of the new Ad Nauseam. Obscura is more iconic, but I feel this has more of a lasting impact on the genre. You can't top Obscura, so I feel like most new dissodeath take more cues from this album than Obscura.

Pretty good, I'd say! It maintains the abstract and abstruse nature of Obscura, but it's also not as impenetrable as that record. So it serves as a nice halfway point stylistically; lots of brutality, while still keeping the experimental elements
