I don’t think celestial is less substantive or pretty at all - i simply think it’s the record they did that is 1.) the heaviest, and 2.) the least mature - meaning not conceptually but in terms of the approach to the sound, mostly focused on heaviness - very cool and interesting way to achieve the heaviness (bless JKB!) but it’s after this release that they developed a heightened sense of balance that still crushes anything in its way
