I’ve been on a big Neurosis kick lately and two things became apparent. 1) Times Of Grace is not only a complete masterpiece, but one of the best heavy albums ever made. It’s astounding how well composed it is. 2) This album (Honour) contains some absolute gems and it feels seriously underrated. Knowing that ‘Casting of the ages’ is about Scott Kelly’s father, who died fairly quickly through illness, just gives it extra emotional weight and it’s heavy enough already. ‘All is found...in time’ is punishing, too.
