Perhaps the saddest thing about this is that the last two tracks of disc 1 are actually competent. Iced Honey is just a decent hard rock song, mumbling aside, and Cheat On Me is too long and repetitive, but has a really pretty intro and some okay musical moments. It's like the album's almost approaching "really weird, but not horrible" territory.

Then they shit the bed with Frustration, which switches between some parts that approach good territory and some of Reed's worst moments. The sing-songy vibe to the "I puke my guts! Out at your feet!" part makes me lose it every single time. After that is eight minutes of absolutely nothing happening, entitled Little Dog.

Musically, this is closer to a 2, but the complete shock the worse moments initially gave me, the moments of nothing happening, the ridiculous lyrics and the sometimes outright comical delivery all prevent me from giving this anything higher than a 1.

"I will swallow your sharpest cutter like a colored man's dick." Whoa, isn't that shocking? "I'm a woman who likes men", genius minimalist lyrics, huh? "Dry and spermless like a girl", sooo profound, amirite? To hell with this 2deep4u bullshit.

I WISH THAT I COULD KILL YOU!

You know what the saddest part it? Somebody actually rerecorded the whole album and it actually sounds decent, amature vocals aside.

Proof that there was a good album behind the directionless shite.

I AM THE TABLE

"(Brandenburg Gate) literally sounds like an elderly Simpsons character wrote the song" It's not bad though, subpar vocals aside.

I have a habit of listening to stuff chronologically. Knowing Lou and admiring him I decided that I will listen to this only once I've made it through the whole discographies of not only Metallica (i have to because of my habit) but also slayer and megadeth (i hate metal and tried to find motivation). Only 8 albums left, next stop: St. Anger. Can't wait!
