Reunion and Claudia Lewis still slap

"Outro" feels like it's been used in like 15% of films tv and commercials made since 2012 but it's good enough that it basically always works

New single is giving me major Hurry Up vibes... excited to hear it in context with the rest. But it sounds like a return to form

This was the first album that blew my mind and made me get serious about music listening. I doubt that 5 will ever change.

how old are you out of curiosity
just asking because i've been thinking a lot about artists who make a very specific generational impact lately after i told zak that gorillaz was really formative to my gen and he kinda scoffed and then started talking about sex pistols lol

Every age has a different set of gateway artists and even that depends on your preferred genres. For me it was Green Day (lmao) around the American Idiot hysteria and then shortly after I got into Brand New, Thrice, etc.
What I actually came to this thread to say, though, is that the new songs out so far are incredible and I can't shake the feeling that 2023 is going to be a huge comeback for M83.

More like M23!

I’d like to believe that sowing but the last couple make it really hard. I’ll check the new tracks

Fwiw I really enjoyed Junk in a hardcore embrace the cheese kinda way, but I also think the new songs from Fantasy are noticeably better than anything they've done since this. Not saying I expect Fantasy to be better than this, but it does feel like an apology for their last couple LPs.
