Album Rating: 2.5 | Sound Off

I've listened to this album 12 times, and I keep waiting for a hook, chorus or distinct rhythm. This album is a dire bore for me to listen to. I really like Radiohead and I want to like this album, but it's not pretty enough to be ambient and not cohesive enough to be anything else. I really hope they go in a different direction. In Rainbows is my 4th favorite Radiohead album and it's LOADS better than this.

I can get where you're coming from. Everything on this album is understated. It's one of the albums greatest strengths. It's also one of its most damning weaknesses.

glad neither of the singles made the album. Butcher's great as a b-side. Supercollider just isn't that exciting

butcher's a bit odd -- even for them, which is saying something. a pretty little distopian thing though.



i thought harry patch was a beautiful orchestral piece, but was too distinct to fit in with radiohead's discrography and these are my twisted words i've always really really liked.

supercollider's actually grown on me quite a bit. it's much better than the live version i heard, whereas good morning mr magpie's actually a little worse imo than the version on 'the most gigantic lying mouth of all time'
