No other way around lol And style and quality differences aside, this was compared to Kid A cause of the drastic change from an alt rock sound to an experimental electronic sound with different lyrical content. Yea radiohead is loads better(obviously) but surely you could you the similarities.

its not about the quality of being, you know, better
the genres simply cannot be compared
though ATS is a bold step forward it's very difficult to compare it to Kid A because their sounds are entirely different

Yea they weren't comparing the genres, it was the STYLE CHANGE. They don't sound like each other, but the style change was very similar. That's what critics mean.

Although LP released a single(Radiohead didn't with Kid A), no one saw this coming for both of the bands. Of course LP's style change was a bit more polarizing.
