3 songs left to go, more good than bad, there’s a lot of good things, there are a few bad things.

Don’t expect much bite from the new album, one songs gets some attitude early in the album but it goes back to a mostly lackadaisical affair. Though the last two songs could change that.

Can't say I was a huge fan of the new one. It's fine, but it definitely strikes me more as an Ian Anderson solo album... and not a particularly inspired one. Still, I'll probably make it my next review so I can at least put it on people's radars

But yeah, I'll probably be sticking with a 3/5

Zealot Gene is pretty good. It would be a solid end to Jethro Tull's career if it is their last. Nothing to go nuts about but Ian knows how to churn out some prog comfort food. Hearty and dependably entertaining.

Revisited this on the morning commute, what a great time, I somehow forgot I had never rated it, but yeah, it's THE prog rock classic.

discog run; with a fully appreciate revisit of this classic one, vinyl bought back in early 80s as always been a beauty (long gone since then), listening on the 40th anniversary 2012 digital edition.

I'm debating these days whether this or Passion Play is my favorite Tull album. Both albums absolutely rule
