I just watched an interview where Danny said that the second half of the album is more electronic influenced. Ironically he had written a lot of that material many years ago, even up to 17 years. Anyway hopefully its at least a 3.5.

Yes. It's already a 3.5 for me. If it had come before "We're Here", I think it would be loved as much as that album. But it's basically three albums of the same formula so the luster is diminished.

Well after the 7 year hiatus I had a feeling they'd want to slow down the pace of album direction changes. They want to build a solid foundation, and a decent enough fanbase. Danny also said these three albums are kind of a trilogy.

i still think this album is top-tier, but weather systems was more of the same but more cheesy and less interesting. i could see the new album not being as enjoyable as this
