I don't care how far up their own asses this band is, if your lyrics are about worshiping dark masters and flying with shamans in the sky or whatever other poorly written fantasy bs they can come up with, you shouldn't write lyrics about something like 9/11

"Burning City

Smoke and fire

Planes we're certain

Faith inspired

No clues

A complete surprise

Who'll be

Coming home tonight

Heads all turning

Towards the sky

Towers crumble

Heroes die"

It reads like an overdramatic play or something

I'm sure it affected them as much as any other American felt about it (Don't knot much... across the pond, sorry) and they wanted to express themselves about it. I mean, there's a subtle amount of anger in In The Name of Good, which isn't as gimmicky as anything from SC

At least in the name of god is just about crimes that are generally committed "in the name of god," not an overdramatic symphony centered on one of the worst terrorist attacks in history

Just FYI I'm not easily offended at all and I kind of hate patriotism and this isn't even offensive to me just really annoying and appalling

Prophets of War wouldn't even make a good muse song.

Yeah, lyrics on Sacrificed Sons aren't great, especially:

Who hold the truth?!?! FOR HEAVENS SAKE!

I'd say Pain of Salvation with Road Salt I, and then come Opeth with Heritage. Road Salt II can't be

compared to RS I.
