Sabotage is on pair with this, I agree, if I haven't 5'd it it's cause five 5's to Sabbath would be too much

"cause five 5's to Sabbath would be too much"

I don't see any problem with that

Paranoid is a classic for reasons superseding the tunes, yet, under a strictly musical scope I think Sabbath peaked with this release.

By far the most inspired and versatile collection Sabbath ever did, in spite of writer's block initially. SBS, Killing.., Sabbra Cadabra, Spiral Arc.., A National Acrobat are some of the best material ever done in rock, regardless genre.

After Master Of Reality and before Heaven And Hell, the production values and performances became lazy in the band.

"After Master Of Reality and before Heaven And Hell, the production values and performances became lazy in the band."

Dumb comment, particularly regarding the "performances" part, seeing as the band's performance on here is tighter and more complex/adventurous than on any of their other albums except maybe Sabotage.

With the exception of Vol. 4, the production between MoR and H&H is excellent

The bass is the only think that's weak in that period
