Did a first listen of Pale Horse, I find it extremely similar to this, basically a spiritual successor almost. It's pretty great but something about it seems kinda slight, hoping it will be a little bit of a grower.

really? i wasn't at all expecting to hear that it's similar to this. that sounds like high praise. i initially really enjoyed ten stories but it hasn't had much lasting value. this and catch for us the foxes are in a league of their own, and everything else is varying degrees of good

I'd say it sounds like a mixture of this and Ten Stories, but leaning more towards this. It's heavier and less varied than Ten Stories, but keeps some of that album's focus on atmospheric melodies.
