A 2.5 for this borders on ridiculous but ah well that's your opinion. "Comfortably Numb" alone drags this higher than that for me.

You can't rate an album based on the strength of one song alone. So the comfortably numb comment is void. This really isn't all that, IMO. Hey You, In The Flesh and Comfortably numb are classic songs, but the album has so much weak shit on it.

I didn't say I have it 5'd purely on the merit of "Comfortably Numb" but for me that song alone pushes this further than a 2.5 just because of how much that one track means to me. There is nothing weak on here for me.

Nothing weak to me either, love the story and lyrics throughout, the basslines, Gilmour has several fantastic solos. Album rocks hard.

@ Titan - Another Brick in the wall for a start. I don't rate Mother, Don't Leave Me Now, Good Bye Blue Sky, or Run Like Hell, either.

You personally not liking them is one thing and I can respect that. Considering them 'weak' is another. You do realize Another Brick and Run Like Hell were live concert staples right?

"A 2.5 for this isn't ridiculous because the album is boring and watered-down. It is an "average" as hell prog release, only regarded as a "classic" because it has commercial success and age to it's advantage."

Pretty much.

Honestly never been able to finish it, I start at random spots but I always end up bored and go back to jamming one of their previous albums.

The only one that could even come close is "Animals" for me but "The Wall" is still my favorite Floyd

Animals is perfect IMO. I understand why people dig this, I do. It just doesn't agree with me.
